Hideaki Anno: a sacred cow in the anime community, known for directing such classics as Neon Genesis Evangelion, Nadia: Secret of the Blue Water and Cream Lemon. Oh, wait, I am sorry, should I run the past one by you again...

Hideaki Anno is a world renowned director and animator from Japan, who has worked with some of the largest firms over there. However, he mostly languished in the shadows leading an animation team behind the scenes. With this, he usually produced some good work, including an episode of Urusei Yatsura; a few episodes of Macross, as well as the film Macross: Do You Remember Love? and Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind, and while this sounds like a good start, this is not telling the whole story of Anno and his film career.
