Founded in 1981, Кино was a Soviet underground rock band composed of Viktor Tsoi (vocals), Aleksei Rybin (guitar) and Oleg Valinsky (percussion), during their nine years of existence, they wrote and performed 90 songs and saw several changes in band membership, namely Yuri Kasparyan replacing Rybin in 1983, Georgy Guranov replacing Valinsky in 1984 and the addition of a bassist, Aleksandr Titov from 1984 to 1985 and Igor Tikhomirov from 1986 on. The band broke up in 1990, following Tsoi's accidental death.
