Angel Cop

"If this is justice, then I'm a banana," - Angel. Angel Cop. Oh Angel Cop, such an interesting and amazing anime (but for all the wrong reasons). A 6 part OVA released between the years of 1989-1994, Angel Cop is a stiffly animated masterpiece that runs at 10FPS or less in some shots. What it lacks in animation it can surely can make up for in plot, right? I guess so, but only barely, the plot changes at such a rapid pace from a simple plot of fighting a terrorist force, to fighting a government developed supernatural being gone rogue with advanced technology and cyborgs. Yeah, it gets really crazy really fast. Well what about characters? The cast is made up of a murderous nutter, a murderous nutter, a murderous nutter, a supernatural psychotic nutter, a terrorist and a murderous nutter, a crazy cast to say the least. So what do we have: crazy animation, crazy plot and crazy characters, and an equally crazy English dub to go along with everything else, with copious amounts of swearing and unintentionally hilarious lines like the one that I opened the review with, in fact, there are entire compliations of the swearing in Angel Cop, you can find them here. Overall, while this is objectively outright garbage, the entertainment factor is there, but only ironically. So unless you are like me and get a good laugh from stuff like this, then I would not recommend Angel Cop to you. I hope to create an ironic entertainent watching guide soon.

P.S If anyone is looking for the otherwise lost ending song, I have a file of it, so please let me know if you want it.

P.P.S Do not watch it subtitled. I repeat: *DO.* *NOT.* *WATCH.* *THIS.* *FAN-SUBTITLED.* There are some extremely nationalistic and anti-semitic messages within the original Japanese version. If you believe you can handle this, then watch at your own risk.
